Summer season is the favorite amongst kids as school exams are over and they look forward towards the vacation. This is the season where parents can encourage good habits amongst kids. Here are some tips for parents who can keep their kids happy, healthy and safe.

Make sure that your kids are sleeping on time as during summer time kids can get ample amount of sleep. The required sleep boosts the physical and mental growth in kids which keeps them happy. Parents can set up a routine for eating patterns. Food filled with nutrition such as milk, fruits, healthy vegetables should be provided to kids. During evening time some of their favorite healthy snacks can be prepared for them. Once their tummy is full, they stay happy. As kids are into lot of physical activities, they should drink sufficient water to stay hydrated. Kids should exercise daily to stay active. They can get involved in indoor and outdoor activities such as swimming, skating, basketball, football, cricket, jumping, running, batminton etc. Kids stay happy when they do their choice of stuff.

During summer kids should wear light clothes especially, cotton or light colored clothes are preferred as it keeps them cool and absorbs the sweat. Kids should avoid playing out in the sun as it increases the chances of sunburn or sunstroke.
